Synopsis

In this episode I talk with renown Near-Death Experience researcher Dr Gregory Shushan. We discuss his work on the cultural similarities, differences and impacts of Near-Death Experiences on afterlife beliefs and possible connections to religions through history.

ABOUT DR SHUSHAN

Gregory Shushan, PhD, is an award-wining author and the leading authority on near-death experiences and the afterlife across cultures and throughout history.

He is a Research Fellow of the Parapsychology Foundation, and was formerly Perrott-Warrick Researcher at University of Oxford’s Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion; Scholar-in Residence at the Centro Incontri Umani (The Cross Cultural Centre), Ascona, Switzerland; and Honorary Research Fellow at the Religious Experience Research Centre, University of Wales Trinity Saint David. He has lectured at universities in the UK, Ireland, and Switzerland and has given numerous talks on his research in nine countries, and has appeared on the History Channel.

 

Dr. Shushan holds degrees in Religious Studies (University of Wales Lampeter), Research Methods for the Humanities, Egyptian Archaeology (University College London), and Eastern Mediterranean Archaeology (Birbeck College, University of London).
